Short Gold and Silver at your own Risk - Rather Buy the Dip

We are entering a seasonally strong period of time for gold and silver. My stance is to take a look at an even bigger picture which shows that silver may be finding investment demand at this seasonally bullish time of year. Wedding season is also a good time to own gold as is the month of September (a month I don’t like to short precious metals) which begins today.

How will the US Elections Affect Equities and Gold?

The experience of losing money is common in investing. But where is the certitude of loss even before your check clears? That’s the situation with sovereign debt right now. The bear market in gold mining stocks took these companies to ridiculous levels.

What is overvalued and undervalued is a subjective judgment, and I tend to agree that gold shares are down 80% & they are cheap, compared to the physical price of gold & to Facebook or Google & these Netflix type of stocks. There is value in gold mining shares, and I think they could easily rebound from this level by 30 to 40%.

Some Gold Mining Stocks May Outperform Gold Itself

Gold mining equities have become attractive to investors once more, after spending years out of fashion as respectable investments, given corporate governance problems and ballooning capital budgets. It makes sense to look at assets that were “absolutely punished and massively sold” in the past
